The amazon.... That's a jungle.

Well since about 6 days ago I have...
1. Spent 5 nights at the remote jungle lodge "inotawa"
2. Held and pet several animals only found in America at the zoo
3. Made my own raft from trees and rope and floated down stream for and hour and a half on it
4. Lived without electricity until yesterday night
5. Showered in only cold river water
6. Taken 2 night walks through deep forestation
7. Visited an animal rescue sheltered and helped rebuild the howler monkey's cage
8. Torn down an old locals house so that the next group can start rebuilding a new one
9. Chiseled a sign for a local farm and then painted it and varnished it to be hung on the river bank
10. Sat and read in multiple hammocks
11. Visited the lake de tres chimbadas...which may have been the most beautiful natural sight I have ever seen
12. Had rats running underneath my bed
13. Made jewelry with locals
14. Spent time in the main city of puerto Maldonado
And so much more...... I will write again from the Lima airport in a few hours!!
